Hosted at the historic Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles from Monday 8th June to Friday 12th June 2026, the program celebrates the work of the 30 shortlisted filmmakers, concluding with the announcement of the four category winners at the Awards ceremony on Thursday 11th June.

This page is for Sony guests attending the Awards’ week. Here, you will find important information for your group, including travel and accommodation options in Los Angeles and a daily schedule of activities and events available to your delegation.

Please Note: To RSVP and confirm your activities, this should be completed on the spreadsheet provided via email. The deadline is Tuesday 21st April 2026.

  • Sony Sales Company Activation: During these designated time slots, you can book optional activities such as meeting rooms and tours. Click on each activation slot in the schedule to view available options. To reserve a time or space, please contact Creo.
  • Screenings: You will need to let Creo know in advance the number of delegates attending each day.
  • FMSC/Shortlist Dinner: You are encouraged to host a dinner with your local shortlisted filmmakers on Wednesday 10th June. If you would like to hold the dinner on a different day, just let us know.

If you or any of your delegates require an invitation letter to support their US Visa application, please contact the team at sffa@creoarts.com. (Please note: The invitation letter will cover the dates of the SFFA program, inclusive of travel days:  Saturday 6th  June to Saturday 13th June 2026). 

LOCATION & TRAVEL

All events and activities will take place at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. 

The studio lot is conveniently located on the Westside, 5 miles from Los Angeles Airport (LAX), less than 8 miles from Downtown Los Angeles and minutes away from the I-10 Santa Monica and I-405 San Diego freeways.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL GUESTS ARRIVING AT THE STUDIO LOT WILL NEED TO PRESENT A GOVERNMENT-ISSUED I.D. UPON ARRIVAL.

Parking is available at the Overland Parking structure, which is conveniently located near the Sony Pictures lot. Please follow the provided signage for directions to the parking area.

GETTING AROUND LOS ANGELES

Below you will find information on the different methods of transport available to your delegation to get around Los Angeles and access the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City.

Mobile Data Access: For those traveling to Los Angeles, Airalo offers eSIMs, digital SIM cards that can be activated on most smartphones without swapping physical SIMs. This can be a convenient option for yourself and delegates, allowing them to have mobile data ready immediately upon arrival. Please note: nightly rates may vary depending on room type, availability, and the time of booking. It’s advisable to book your accommodation well in advance to secure the best rates and ensure availability during your stay in Culver City.

IMPORTANT: Due to the FIFA World Cup 2026 we strongly recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible. With the opening ceremony scheduled for 12th June 2026, we expect limited hotel availability across LA during the week To ensure availability, please make your reservations based on your expected delegation size to secure rooms for your group.

Screenings

Screenings of the 30 shortlisted films from the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards 2026 will take place across three days at the (Location TBC).

The 30 films will be divided into three screening sessions, with the first one taking place on Monday 8th June from 9:00 to 12:30, and the second one on Tuesday 9th June from 9:00 to 12:30 and the third screening will take place on Wednesday 10th June from 9:00 to 12:30.
