This page has been created for Sony guests attending the Awards’ week and contains important information you’ll need to plan your visit. In the sections below you’ll find details of travel and accommodation options in Los Angeles, along with a daily schedule of activities and events for your delegation.

Hosted at the historic Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles from Monday 7th June to Friday 11th June 2027, the program celebrates the work of the 30 shortlisted filmmakers, concluding with the announcement of the category winners at the Awards ceremony on Thursday 10th June.

Please Note: To RSVP and confirm your activities, please complete the spreadsheet provided via email. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 20th April 2027.

Optional activities

  • Sony Sales Company Activation: During these designated time slots, you can book optional activities such as meeting rooms and tours. Click on each activation slot in the schedule to view available options. To reserve a time or space, please contact Creo.
  • Screenings: You will need to let Creo know in advance the number of delegates attending each day.
  • FMSC/Shortlist Dinner: You are encouraged to host a dinner with your local shortlisted filmmakers on Tuesday 8th June or Wednesday 9th June. If you would like to hold the dinner on a different day, just let us know.

VISA LETTERS

If you or any of your delegates require an invitation letter to support their US Visa application, please contact the team at sffa@creoarts.com. (Please note: The invitation letter will cover the dates of the SFFA program, inclusive of travel days:  Saturday 5th  June to Saturday 12th June 2027). 

LOCATION & TRAVEL

The majority of events and activities will take place at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. 

Please note: the morning screenings are being held off site at the Culver Theatre, a short walk from the Sony Picture Studios. The DMPC is also off site. You can find both venues addresses above. 

The studio lot is located on the Westside, 5 miles from Los Angeles Airport (LAX), less than 8 miles from Downtown Los Angeles and minutes away from the I-10 Santa Monica and I-405 San Diego freeways.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL GUESTS ARRIVING AT THE STUDIO LOT WILL NEED TO PRESENT A GOVERNMENT-ISSUED PHOTO I.D. UPON ARRIVAL.

Parking is available at the Overland Parking structure, which is located near the Sony Pictures lot. Please follow the provided signage for directions to the parking area.

GETTING AROUND LOS ANGELES

Below you will find information on the different methods of transport available to your delegation to get around Los Angeles and access the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City.

Mobile Data Access: For those traveling to Los Angeles, Airalo offers eSIMs, digital SIM cards that can be activated on most smartphones without swapping physical SIMs. This can be a convenient option for yourself and delegates, allowing them to have mobile data ready immediately upon arrival. Screenings

About: Screenings of the 30 shortlisted films will take place across three days at the Culver Theatre

The 30 films will be divided into three screening sessions, with the first one taking place on Monday 7th June from 9:00 to 12:30, and the second one on Tuesday 8th June from 9:00 to 12:30 and the third screening will take place on Wednesday 9th June from 9:00 to 12:30.

During this time, you can book a meeting room at the Sony Pictures Studios or a tour:

If you would like to book a meeting room for your delegation, please communicate your requirements and we will secure a booking for you.

Studio tours

Tours of Sony Pictures Studios are available to book throughout the week. Tours can be either public or private, lasting for up to two hours and can be tailored to your delegations’ interests. Please note, these tours are an additional cost. If you are interested in booking a tour, our team will be happy to provide further information on availability, timings, and pricing.

DMPC tours

Tours of DMPC (Digital Media Production Center) are available to book between (Times and dates TBC). Please note, the DMPC is off site so please ensure you request slots for your group which allow for travel time of up to 1 hour.
